Participation & care
Care continues. Participation is a choice.
No violence, hate, harassment, sabotage or coercion. Healthcare, emergency response, humanitarian aid, food, water, sanitation, essential transport and caregiving continue. Nobody should be shamed for not participating.
There is no action date to prepare for yet
Read the proposal, raise questions and consider your circumstances. A pledge does not require immediate action. Local legal and safety guidance takes precedence over generic campaign language.
If you work in essential services
Continue the work required to protect life. This includes health and emergency services, humanitarian aid, food and medicine distribution, water and sanitation, essential energy and communications, care, safeguarding, and the transport and logistics needed to sustain them.
If you cannot stop work
You can review the proposal, share accurate information, participate outside working hours where lawful, or choose not to participate. Nobody should be shamed or pressured. Do not put dependants, care recipients, employment or immigration status at risk on the strength of a global pledge count.
For employers and organisers
Identify critical services and dependencies before proposing any activity. Seek appropriate local advice, respect the right not to participate, and avoid transferring risk to Palestinians, vulnerable people or colleagues who continue working.
Boundaries
- No threats, harassment, property damage or sabotage.
- No targeting people because of religion, ethnicity or nationality.
- No obstruction of healthcare, aid or emergency access.
- No fundraising in the name of this proposal.
